Service agreement and conditions for Electronics-r-us small appliance repair services. Please read these terms carefully before using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Electronics-r-us for appliance repair services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this service.

2. Service Description

Electronics-r-us provides professional small appliance repair services including but not limited to:

  • Microwave repair and maintenance
  • Coffee maker and espresso machine service
  • Blender and food processor repair
  • Toaster and toaster oven service
  • Vacuum cleaner maintenance and repair
  • Air purifier and dehumidifier service
  • Specialty small appliance repair

3. Service Appointment and Scheduling

Appointment Process

  • Service appointments must be scheduled in advance by phone or through our online contact form
  • We will confirm appointment times and provide estimated arrival windows
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring access to the appliance and service location
  • Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 2 hours notice

Emergency Service

  • Emergency service is available 24/7 for critical appliance failures
  • Emergency service may incur additional charges
  • Emergency service availability is not guaranteed and is subject to technician availability

4. Diagnostic and Estimate

Diagnostic Fee

  • A diagnostic fee of $25 applies to all service calls
  • This fee is applied toward the final repair cost if service is completed
  • Diagnostic fee is non-refundable if customer declines recommended repairs
  • Diagnostic fees are waived for customers who proceed with recommended repairs

Repair Estimates

  • All estimates are provided before work begins
  • Customers must approve estimates before repairs commence
  • Additional issues discovered during repair will be reported before proceeding
  • Customers have the right to decline additional repairs

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment Due: Payment is due upon completion of service
  • Accepted Payment Methods: Cash, check, and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
  • Labor Rates: $65-$95 per hour depending on service complexity
  • Parts and Materials: Charged at cost plus 15% markup for genuine manufacturer parts
  • Additional Charges: Emergency service, weekend service, and holiday service may incur additional fees
  • Invoicing: Invoices are provided upon payment and include detailed breakdown of labor and parts

6. Warranty and Service Guarantee

90-Day Service Warranty

  • All repair work is guaranteed for 90 days from service date
  • Warranty covers both parts and labor for the specific repair performed
  • Warranty is valid only for the original customer and service address
  • Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or abuse

Manufacturer Warranties

  • We honor manufacturer warranties on genuine parts we install
  • Manufacturer warranty terms and conditions apply as specified by the manufacturer
  • Customers are responsible for registering manufacturer warranties when required

7. Customer Responsibilities

  • Access: Ensure safe and reasonable access to service location
  • Preparation: Clear area around appliance and ensure technician safety
  • Information: Provide accurate information about appliance issues and history
  • Payment: Ensure payment is available upon service completion
  • Appointments: Honor scheduled appointment times or provide adequate notice for changes
  • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from work area for safety

8. Limitations of Service

When Repair May Not Be Advised

  • When repair cost exceeds 50% of replacement cost
  • For appliances with extensive water damage or corrosion
  • For discontinued models with unavailable parts
  • For appliances with significant safety hazards
  • When manufacturer no longer supports the model

Service Limitations

  • We do not repair major appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, ovens)
  • We do not perform plumbing, electrical, or structural work
  • Service is limited to the specific appliances and issues described
  • Work performed outside normal business hours may be limited

9. Liability and Damage

Professional Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the value of services provided
  • We carry appropriate insurance for our operations
  • Customers should report any damage concerns immediately
  • Damage claims must be reported within 24 hours of service

Property Protection

  • We take reasonable care to protect surrounding property
  • Customers are responsible for removing valuable items from work area
  • We are not liable for damage to items not directly related to the repair

10. Cancellations and Refunds

Service Cancellations

  • Appointments can be cancelled with at least 2 hours notice
  • Cancellations with less than 2 hours notice may incur a $25 fee
  • Technician arrival constitutes service commencement
  • No-shows may be charged the diagnostic fee

Refund Policy

  • Refunds are available if we are unable to complete the repair as promised
  • Parts may be returnable within 30 days if unused and in original packaging
  • Labor charges are non-refundable once work is completed

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Electronics-r-us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be resolved through:

  • Direct communication between customer and Electronics-r-us management
  • Mediation if direct resolution is unsuccessful
  • Binding arbitration in accordance with Virginia state law
  • Virginia state courts as a final resort

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms will be brought exclusively in Virginia state or federal courts.
